I got a savage last week that had sat up for 6 years and a guy that I work with cleaned the carb. To even get it to start (somewhat). I got some "sea foam" from napa and put it in the tank and after restarting it several times I could keep it started but it wouldn't idle. I then drove it for 14 miles afterwhich it would idle and the backfiring almost stoped. Speaks pretty highly of suzuki and sea foam.
